What qualifies?
The competitor, product and offer must meet all eligibility requirements at the time our team reviews the request.
Eligible offers
- The competitor is an Australian retailer with an active ABN.
- The retailer operates online or from a physical store in Australia.
- The offer is publicly advertised, current and verifiable.
- The competitor's product is in stock and available for immediate purchase.
- The product is identical in brand, model, colour, finish, size, configuration, specifications and warranty.
- The price is available to the general public without special membership or conditions.
Offers we cannot beat
- Clearance, liquidation, run-out or fire-sale pricing.
- Auction sites or marketplace sellers, including third-party sellers.
- Membership-only, invitation-only, staff or loyalty pricing.
- Cashback, rebates, coupons, store credits or bonus offers.
- Commercial, wholesale, bulk, trade or project pricing.
- Grey imports, parallel imports or pricing errors.
- Damaged, refurbished, ex-display or second-hand products.

The approved discount is calculated against the eligible competitor's advertised product price. The final price is rounded to the nearest cent.

If an eligible Australian retailer advertises the identical product for $200.00, Ozlighting would beat that price by 5%, resulting in a product price of $190.00.

01 Price Beat Guarantee
Ozlighting offers a Price Beat Guarantee on eligible products. If you find the same product advertised for a lower price by an eligible Australian retailer, we will beat that price by 5%, subject to these conditions.
If approved, Ozlighting will match the competitor's advertised product price and apply an additional 5% discount.
All Price Beat offers are subject to Ozlighting’s minimum supplier cost price. Ozlighting will not approve a Price Beat where the resulting sale price would be below the applicable supplier cost price.
The final approved product price will be rounded to the nearest cent.
02 Eligible Australian retailers
The competitor must:
- Be an Australian retailer.
- Have an active ABN.
- Operate online or from a physical retail store in Australia.
We compare against Australian online retailers and Australian physical retail stores.
03 Identical product requirements
The competitor's product must be identical to the Ozlighting product in:
- Brand.
- Model number.
- Colour or finish.
- Size and configuration.
- Technical specifications.
- Warranty terms.
04 Price and stock availability
The competitor's item must be:
- In stock at the time of verification.
- Available for immediate purchase.
- Publicly advertised.
- A current and valid offer.
- Available to the general public.
The price must not be restricted by location, membership or special conditions.
Price Beat requests cannot be approved for:
- Pre-orders.
- Back-ordered products.
- Limited-stock offers where the advertised availability has ended.
05 Requests must be made before purchase
Price Beat requests must be submitted and approved before the purchase is completed.
Price adjustments cannot be applied after an order has been placed.
06 Evidence required
You must provide one of the following:
- A direct URL to the competitor's publicly available product page.
- A written quote showing the retailer name, product details, price, date, validity and stock availability.
Ozlighting reserves the right to verify the advertised price, retailer and stock availability independently.
07 Costs not included
The Price Beat applies to the eligible product price only. It does not include:
- Delivery fees.
- Installation.
- Accessories.
- Extended warranties.
- Optional services.
08 Excluded sales and promotions
The Price Beat Guarantee does not apply to:
- Clearance, liquidation, run-out or fire-sale products.
- Auction sites or marketplace sellers, including eBay, Amazon Marketplace or Facebook Marketplace.
- Staff, loyalty, membership-only or invitation-only pricing.
- Cashback, rebates, coupons, store credit or bonus promotions.
- Commercial, wholesale, bulk, trade or project pricing.
- Grey imports or parallel imports.
- Pricing errors, mistakes or misprints.
- Damaged, refurbished, ex-display or second-hand products.
09 Conditional promotions
The Price Beat Guarantee does not apply to promotions that are conditional on:
- Finance plans.
- Subscriptions.
- Membership sign-ups.
- Bundled packages not offered by Ozlighting.
10 Other discounts and customer types
- The Price Beat Guarantee cannot be combined with another Ozlighting discount, coupon or promotion.
- It applies to standard retail purchases only.
- It does not apply to trade, wholesale or project pricing unless approved by management.
11 Returns and refunds
If a product purchased under the Price Beat Guarantee is returned:
- Any approved refund will be based on the actual amount paid.
- Standard Ozlighting return conditions and policies will apply.

12 Ozlighting's rights
Ozlighting reserves the right to:
- Decline a request that does not meet these terms.
- Limit quantities per customer.
- Verify the competitor's price, product and stock availability.
- Modify or withdraw the Price Beat Guarantee at any time.
All decisions are final.
