What height should indoor wall lights be installed?

Can wall lights be used as the main light source?

Wall lights can provide the main lighting when there are enough fittings with suitable output. However, they are more commonly combined with ceiling lights, pendants or lamps as part of a layered lighting plan.

What is the difference between ambient, accent and task lighting?

Ambient lighting provides general illumination throughout a room. Accent lighting highlights artwork, textures or architectural features, while task lighting provides focused light for activities such as reading or applying makeup.

What colour temperature works best for indoor wall lights?

Warm white between 2700K and 3000K creates a softer atmosphere in bedrooms and living spaces. Neutral white around 4000K is better suited to practical areas and task lighting.

Do indoor wall lights need to be installed by an electrician?

Hardwired wall lights must be installed by a licensed electrician. Plug-in wall lights can usually be connected to a standard power point without electrical installation.
